We’re coming to The Market Line in the Lower East Side!
Schaller & Weber was announced as a premier food vendor when The Market Line opens its first phase near Delancey and Essex streets this fall 2018. In addition to Schaller & Weber’s butcher shop which will have our famous bacon, charcuterie and more, there will also be a version of Schaller’s Stube. We’re happy to showcase yesterday’s press in Eater and The New York Times and share the news.
The Market Line and Essex Crossing will be a shopping destination for food, fashion and art, though two-thirds of the vendors will food-focused. This includes shops being moved from the current Essex Street Market (like Saxelby Cheesemongers and Formaggio Kitchen) because the original historic building is set to come down.
Joining us in our first location outside our Schaller & Weber flagship store on 83rd and 2nd Avenue in the Upper East Side will be a number of storied New York establishments. That line up includes: Tortilleria Nixtamal, Cafe Grumpy, Veselka and dim sum restaurant Nom Wah Tea Parlor, who we collaborated with last fall for a Pork Belly Bun at Smorgasbord that was pure, meaty deviousness.
At it’s completion set for fall 2020, Market Line and Essex Street Crossing will span three underground city blocks with over 70 vendors.

We can’t wait to chow down with you there!
