Bauernschinken
From the farmer’s table to the chef’s table

Description
A direct translation of the name Bauernschinken is “farmer’s ham” and in this case the name is spot on. Whereas in the old country this ham would be made by a local farmer, we’ve made it one of our specialties. Schaller & Weber Bauerschinken is cured to develop a prosciutto-like texture, and hardwood smoked for a flavor all it’s own. It’s this comparison that has elevated the German countryside staple to a modern day delicacy. We recommend slicing Bauerschinken thin and enjoying it on it’s own or paired with a fine alpine cheese.
3-pound ham.
